Hitchin forager Jane Simmons will lead a local foraging walk starting at Ransom’s Pavilion, seeking out seasonal wild food ingredients and discussing how these can be used. The session will end at the Pavilion with tastings of preprepared foodstuffs made from foraged ingredients and further discussions on the properties of various hedgerow plants and how to use them in cooking, teas, jams and preserves.
