A fun family day in aid of your local community garden with loads of outdoor activities for everyone! As well as all the usual Triangle Garden stuff: plant sales, global food stalls, cream teas, cakes, ices, raffle, and lots of fun activities for kids: nature trails, pond dipping, welly-wanging, wet sponge stocks, hook a newt, etc etc. there will be a surprise visual extravaganza for visitors to the Triangle Garden:
The Garden will be yarnbombed by local knitters Hitchin Stitchin and Woolly Chic to coincide with International Yarnbombing Day and to promote Hitchin's autumn wool and yarn fair 'Festiwool'. So do come and view the garden in all its adorned glory!
Our Open Day fun-filled programme is as follows:
12 noon Open Day kicks off with a vibrant carnival performance from the drummers and dancers of Garden City Samba culminating with some audience participation!
12.45 Dog Agility Demo from the amazing Barking Mad Dog Training Team with a 'have-a-go' session afterwards (cost 50p).
1.30pm Enter your faithful friend in our fabulous Fun Dog Show in aid of Greyhound Rescue charity GRWE, sponsored by Berry House Vets, 8 fun categories, entry £2 per dog per category. This year the categories are: Best Pedigree, Best Crossbreed, Handsomest Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Child Handler, Waggiest Tail, Best Rescue and Most Kissable Nose!
This year Mexican food will be provided by the award-winning Cantinas Carnitas, with Triangle Garden speciality cordials on hand to calm the tastebuds, not forgetting Bal Minhas's wonderful Asian vegetarian food stall.
