A record twelve delicious entries for our All Age Bake Off this year!

We were super excited at the number of entries we had for our All Age Bake Off this year – and at the high standard of the bakes! Of the twelve entries, eight of them were from junior bakers (aged 9-16) and three from under 9s.

The Bake Off was a joint event partnered with Cookery Eatery, who provided more than £100 worth of cookery camp vouchers to the winners. Cookery Eatery’s Emma Ince Goulding – along our very own trustee and experienced home cook John Wyer – carried out the judging, awarding winners and runners up in the three age categories, and an extra prize for best use of home-grown ingredients  which was won by some ingenious rhubarb flapjacks.

Almost all the bakes were then donated to the Triangle Garden fundraising cake sale in the Pavilion – so generous of all you bakers!  – to raise funds for our work. Well done everyone and thank you to all involved!

The picture below shows some of the cakes people donated to our cake stall prior to the Bake Off,  and the main pic above shows the judges Emma and John hard at work with their scoresheets and assembled Bake Off  entries.
