Theo is one of our youngest volunteers who loves coming to the garden on activity Sundays and pushing the toddler wheelbarrow. For his 2nd birthday Theo’s parents set up a fundraising page with People’s Fundraising so friends and family could support the Triangle Garden instead of buying him gifts. The target was £100 and his generous loved ones raised over £300, which with Gift Aid added raised almost £380 for our work! We are absolutely bowled over by this wonderful generosity and would like to say a massive thank you to all those involved particularly Theo’s mum and dad!
We recently moved to People’s Fundraising when our previous donation site closed and we’re very excited about all the different fundraising opportunities they offer – please do have a look – as well as setting up a fundraising page as like Theo’s, you can create a raffle, a lottery, a fundraising team page for team events like runs or cycles, an in memory page or a donation page – all to raise money for your favourite charity. With income from social care services halving this year for our Herts County Council learning disability placements, we are doubly grateful for funds raised in this way as every little helps to allow us to continue to do what we do in the community.
As well as thanking Theo’s friends and family, we’d like to say a huge thank you to St Marks Church, Hitchin for their recent donation of £250 and to our small band of regular supporters who have set up monthly standing orders to donate to our work – we are so grateful for this regular support which allows us to plan ahead in the knowledge that funds will be coming in each month.
We know that times are tight for many people just now but if you have capacity and would like to support our work in the community please do visit People’s Fundraising and pick the option that’s right for you.
Many thanks from all at the Triangle Garden
