
Triangle Tribe – 2nd-30th June

We are looking for families with teens aged 12 to 16 to join us for Triangle Tribe this June, Friday evenings 6.30-8.30pm from 2nd June to 30th June.
Activities/themes will include:
1- Surviving a zombie apocalypse.
Building shelters, fire skills and finding an cure to the zombie virus…. working as a team to make a safe shelter (using tarps), solve riddles to find a cure, and learning to safely start a simple campfire.
2- Foraging – Edible, or Deadible?
You will discover what edible plants can be found locally, and learn what you can and can’t eat and why. You will also be learning about other useful natural resources that can be found in woods improving knowledge of bush crafting skills.
3- Ancient Fire Skills
You will learn to use three different methods to start fire- flint & steel, friction and a bow saw.
4- Traditional crafts
Using some green wood you will make our own woodland mallet or butter knife. You will be learning how to safely use tools to whittle wood into something useful.

4- Medallion making
Using pewter shot, you will create our own moulds from clay and smelt pewter on a campfire to make small medallions.
5- Triangle Tribe cook-out
Using your newly honed fire skills we will start a campfire and cook a variety of foods for ourselves and families on the final session in the park.
Please note – this a set of activities for accompanied young people – teens must come with one or more adult.
